BEHIND THE POTTERY.............

Born and raised in Saskatchewan, with a love of all thing’s prairie, my work is inspired by prairie landscapes, colours and lifestyle.

My journey started in 2019 when I needed a creative outlet to bring calmness to the chaos that was my life.  I started with some hand building classes and I was instantly drawn to the meditative relaxed state that it provided me!  I became a sponge and sought out other potters online and in person to grow my knowledge and my craft.

In 2020 I wanted to expand my knowledge and I signed up for a wheel throwing class.  Wheel throwing is so different from hand building and demands much more of my mind and body to be fully dedicated to what I am doing, there is no faking it on the wheel!  I wasn't sure if it was for me and then my family bought me a wheel for my birthday and it was decided!   Somedays are better than others on the wheel and I have learned that if I can't get my mind to concentrate I go back to hand building.

My love of pottery then turned into me wanting to share it with my friends and family, not only in gifting them what I had made, but teaching them as well.  From there I started my own studio where I have a small retail section and offer classes as well as a firing service to other local potters!
